The statue was completed in 1969 by Zhang Yongchang (unknown year of death). There is no freedom of panorama in Taiwan for non-architectural works, permission from the sculptor is required

Question, I could not find any sources or information about the sculptor being Zhang Yongchang (張永昌), have you found some info about the sculptor? The only mention I found about Zhang Yongchang came from this 2023 edit in Chinese wiki [1] without citing any source. Also, the news article at that time only mentioned it was designed by Taipei Public Works Department (see w:zh:介壽公園 (中正區), from 聯合報. 1969-02-22). If so, then it would be PD in Taiwan from 2020. @Namazu-tron you were notified as a standard procedure of Commons:VisualFileChange tool which the nominator used. Even users who just made minor image manipulations like small crops or brightness adjustments are notified. There have been some recent calls to have the tool not send any notifications to users who only made image editing; see MediaWiki talk:Gadget-VisualFileChange.js#Automatic notification concern. I did not use said tool, I down loaded and "Contrast & brightness improved" with different application photo software program in my PC. I have no information of sculptor Zhang Yongchang (張永昌) who might be in Taiwan, I am in Japan.--Namazu-tron (talk) 06:28, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Namazu-tron I did not said that you used the VisualFileChange tool. I said that you were automatically notified by the tool used by the nominator in starting this request, as the tool's standard procedure in notifying everyone involved in the creation or modification of the files.
